About Aviva

Hi! My name is Aviva and I moved to New York after graduating last winter with a degree in sociology and early childhood education. I have over eight years of experience with children ages 6 months to 13 providing regular childcare, teaching, and camp counseling, and have had ample opportunity to develop my nurturing and engaging approach to working with kids. My childcare philosophy is based on the idea that every child holds innate value and wisdom--about themselves, their environment, and the world. As a nanny, I'm a huge fan of creative activities including visual art, music, and reading/writing; trips to libraries, parks, and museums; and balancing structured activities with time for open-ended play and rest.
