About Avery

Hi y'all! My name is Avery (they/she/he). I'm a person of Indigenous and European descent. I'm also a caregiver, certified birth worker, animal lover, educator and multidisciplinary artist. I have a degree in Globalization, Environment and Policy from the University of Oregon. In personal, communal, and professional settings combined, I have over 12+ years of experience taking care of children. I have worked at tutoring centers for three years and worked for two years as trauma informed daycare assistant for children (ages 1 to 8) experiencing houselessness. In birth work, my favorite clients are those who are in postpartum - it's such a special time to be working with people. I love being outdoors, reading, and engaging in art and science activities with children. I'm happy to be around pets and take care of light housework as needed! Have questions?
