About Avery

Hello! My name is Avery and I've had a plethora of experience working with children from various ages and backgrounds. Initially I worked as a mentor for students struggling academically/socially in Title I schools through my college at Clemson University; as a mentor, it was my responsibility to collaborate with teachers to create and engage in activities tailored to students' individual needs. Additionally, I have worked as a summer camp counselor where I've designed and led activities ranging from hiking, campfire cooking, creative writing, kayaking and canoeing, reading, and animal care. These past few years I've worked one on one as an RBT with children with developmental disabilities; as an RBT it was my responsibility to implement functional communication, skill acquisition, and behavioral intervention plans to ensure each child's success was met. I have my CPR and First Aid Certification and a bachelors of science in Psychology with a minor in Youth Development Studies.
