About Ava

I'd describe my personality as easygoing, thoughtful, and energetic. I like working with kids because I love knowing that I am giving them a safe place to be themselves and make amazing memories. Some of my best memories came from my babysitters growing up. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to have a semi-regular schedule and is able to be flexible with me as I travel once a month to visit my family out of state. I started working with kids when I was 9 years old after we had my sisters. My mom worked full time, making me the caregiver of my sisters every day after school until bed time. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, read books, and do arts and crafts. One thing you should know about me is I recently moved to colorado from oklahoma. My family is very important me, therefore I do go visit them once a month for 3-5 days. My skills include de-escalating situations, making simple nutritious meals for children, and keeping them entertained through fun activities.
