About Ava

I like working with kids because it has been a passion of mine from an early age. I feel that I'm able to create loving and nurturing relationships, to help each grow at their own pace! I'm looking for a job that is helpful to any family in need. I'm looking for a job that I enjoy while also gaining experience for my career. I feel that working with children in their own space and caring for them in different aspects will help my understanding of what a child emotionally/physically needs for the classroom/life. I've been babysitting since I was around 13/14 years old (I'm 21 now). Gradually over the years I've worked summers as a camp counselor for younger children, and now starting in the fall will be teaching classes for 1st graders at my local church. One thing you should know about me is that I'm a college student at Manhattanville University. I commute from Scarsdale, and planning on getting my masters in education.
