About Ava

I began house and pet sitting at age 15, which led me to work with rescues and regularly walk dogs. Now, I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a dog trainer, with plans to specialize as a K9 handler and eventually train K9s for law enforcement. I love working with animals because their unique personalities shine when they feel comfortable. I'm seeking consistent jobs to build strong bonds with dogs, and I enjoy offering fun activities like hikes or adventures. I'm a criminal justice major at CMU and volunteer at an animal shelter and with search and rescue. I have experience handling high-energy dogs, and dogs who are typically seen as "difficult". I love incorporating little bits of training, and I have basic first aid and medication administration, and I focus on building trust with every animal.
