Hello! My name is Ava and I am a recent graduate of Spelman College, excited to get back to working with some new little buddies! Education is my passion I have been working with children for the better part of my life, doing so professionally in some capacity for the last 8 years. I have worked with children ages 0-13, with various needs including ASD, George's Syndrome, blindness, deafness, and muscular dystrophy. My experience includes years of camp counseling, babysitting, over 2 years of teaching Pre-K gymnastics and dance, as well as 3 years of nannying. I'm positive, energetic, patient and a huge Disney fan. I love to help children grow and learn in their everyday lives and I'm hoping to be able to help out a family by hanging out with your kiddo(s)!

Ava has worked with our family in various capacities for over 2 years. For almost two years she was our regular afternoon nanny for our son starting when he was almost 2 until he was almost 3 around the time we had our second. Though scheduling needs have not lined up for regular care since then, we have relied on her as a trusted and amazing sitter and the first person we call for backup coverage, date nights, party helper, etc. Some favorite highlights of working with Ava is how she has helped my older toddler speak about, understand, and calm down from his big feelings; how she can herd a group of 20+ children under 5 at a birthday party to have all eyes on her, and how she's always up for an adventure. Ava is the first request sitter by everyone in our family!
