About Ava

I am a dedicated educator with hands-on experience working with diverse student populations at Hope College. I have provided tutoring services to low-income students, helping them strengthen their academic skills and build confidence in their abilities. Additionally, I have worked in classrooms assisting with fifth-grade reading and writing at Mason Elementary, where I focused on fostering a love of learning while helping students develop essential literacy skills. My experience also includes working closely with students with special needs, adapting lesson plans and providing individualized support to ensure every student can succeed. My passion for education and commitment to equity drives me to create inclusive and supportive learning environments where all students can thrive.
