As a 20-year-old female working as an after-school program leader at the YMCA, my passion for working with kids stems from my own experiences growing up. Having struggled during my childhood, I understand how important it is for children to have supportive mentors who can guide them through challenges. Since I began babysitting at 14, I've witnessed the transformative power of positive interaction and encouragement. My major in child development deepens my understanding of how kids learn and grow, which I apply in my work every day. I aspire to create safe and nurturing environments where children can express themselves freely and develop resilience. I want to be the kind of person who helps kids navigate their struggles and inspires them to reach their full potential, making a lasting difference in their lives.
