About Autumn

I am an empathetic educator with 5+ years paid experience working with kids. For the past 3 years, I have been working with children with physical and intellectual disabilities including CF, epilepsy, and autism. I started working with kids in the school environment in 2018 - since then I have worked in elementary and high schools, homes for people with disabilities, and most recently at home providing respite care. In my spare time, I like to read books from my local library, practice embroidery and cross stitch, and play with my dog. One thing you should know about me is my #1 priority will always be the safety and well-being of any person in my care. I am up to date on my CPR / First Aid certs, as well as trainings on trauma informed care. Safety first, always. My skills include giving meds, tube feedings, and other needs that medically fragile children may have. I am also adept at making up silly songs for any occasion and developing schedules that prioritize enrichment.
