About Autumn

Hi, My name is Autumn. I am a science educator located in Los Gatos! I live at home gardening and baking with my elderly mother. I have chickens, cats, and a 5-year-old son at home. I have experience taking care of animals of all kinds including tortoises, chinchillas, lizards, snakes, and hamsters. As a a nature instructor and teaching assistant I honed my ability to create fun, educational activities tailored to different age groups. I specialize in social-emotional development, ensuring children's safety, and maintaining open communication with families. My teaching style is the Socratic method followed up by a constructivist approach. My hands-on experience with early literacy through phonics and potty training makes me adept at supporting young learners. Whether guiding outdoor exploration, helping with homework, teaching a new language, or being a play buddy, I prioritize each child's well-being and growth.
