Growing up in Clarkston, I had the opportunity to participate in the many different "buddy programs" where I would pair up with a peer with autism at lunch, recess, or in class. I participated in these programs from 1st-12th grade. In addition, I worked at Clarkston Scamp (a summer camp for kids with special needs) for 7 years. Since then, I have just under 6 years of experience working in Applied Behavior Analysis where my passion for helping the autistic community flourished. I put high emphasis on advocating for more ethical practices, non-ableist approaches to teaching, and giving parents the education needed to help promote healthy and sustainable habits at home to prepare their children to more independent. Plus, the best part about the fundamentals of ABA is that they are applicable to all people, not only those with the Autism diagnosis.
