About Audrey

I was offered the remarkable opportunity to provide compassionate care for an elderly woman who had endured the aftermath of a severe stroke, resulting in a speech disorder and complete paralysis of her left side. Although her family demonstrated an admirable commitment to meeting her needs around the clock, they approached me with an offer of my assistance whenever possible, alleviating some of the inherent stress. This brief yet profoundly fulfilling chapter in my life involved not only the preparation of nourishing meals but also ensuring her comfort in a wheelchair as we engaged in heartfelt conversations about our diverse life experiences and enjoyed many movies together. This transformative experience led to my decision to pivot my academic pursuits from Pre-Dentistry toward the study of Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences, charting the course for my future career.
