About Athena

I've been a childcare provider for 9 years. I'm currently an after school teacher for K-12 who is passionate about nurturing children's development, helping them lean, and making a positive impact on their lives. I've worked with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and I'm comfortable caring for up to five children at a time. I'm also fluent in English and Spanish. I'm patient, calm, friendly, approachable, energetic, and upbeat. I believe in open communication with parents and believe that children function best when all adults are both caring and consistent with their expectations. When working with children, I enjoy outdoor sports, arts and crafts, STEM activities, board games and puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. I'm also willing to help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I have a college degree, First Aid Training, and CPR Training.
