About Ashtyn

Hi, my name is Ashtyn. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2020 with a double Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology with a focus in child education. Following my graduation, I taught a pod of six first-graders (in-person) during the following school year. I have also tutored students from kindergarten to tenth grade over the last decade. Aside from my educational work with children, I have nannied, as well as one-term babysat, for many families over the years. I have gone on, and am willing to go on, vacations and trips with children as young as 6 months with multiple children to watch. I find caring for children to be a passion of mine because I believe that the way we shape and teach kids today can predict how our world will be in years to come. I believe if children are taught empathy and love as often as they are taught to obey societal rules, the world will become a kinder place.
