About Ashton

Hello! I was born and raised here in Walla Walla. I have my undergraduate degree in child developmental psychology, and my masters and license in Elementary Education and I am in my practicum course (last one) for my Reading Endorsement. This is my 2nd year as a Reading Specialist for Gib Olinger (K-3) in the Milton Freewater District. Before I was hired in as the specialist, I worked in both the Walla Walla Public Schools and College Place Public Schools. I have taught long term positions (3+ months) in 5th grade, 1st grade, and K-5 technology. I have subbed in every grade, K-12, numerous times as that was my full time job during my masters program and while waiting for a full time position. I'm excited to connect with you and help your child succeed, but more importantly, feel more confident! Thank you for taking this time to read my bio :)
