About Ashley

Hi there! I'm a freelance science journalist looking for extra work as a tutor. I enjoy working with children and have experience teaching kindergartners at a synagogue afterschool program. Below is some more information about the subjects I can tutor and my background with those subjects. I hope to work with you soon! Biology and chemistry: I earned a B. A. in biology with highest honors from Oberlin College. English/reading/writing: I'm a journalist and writer. French and Latin: In high school, I really enjoyed French and Latin, winning the National French Test several times in my category and scoring 5 (the top score) on the AP French and Latin exams. I continued studying both of those subjects as electives in college. Math: I'm comfortable tutoring elementary school math. Math was not my strongest subject as a kid, but I managed to do well in it. Moreover, I can empathize with anyone who finds math difficult!
