About Ashley

Hi! My name is AJ. Although I am not a certified teacher of any kind, I do have experience tutoring kids. I have worked as a tutor for a couple of people, and my responsibilities included helping with homework, assisting with comprehension of topics such as math, history, science, and English, and teaching piano. I was homeschooled by my mom in third grade where she introduced various teaching techniques into my education. She homeschooled my younger siblings when COVID hit. As a result, I was able to observe, and assist with, various techniques including auditory, visual, and kinesthetic methods. Learning is individual, so I am prepared to adjust my teaching methods to the child. I have my own electric piano for lessons at my place, but it is not very transportable. If you would like lessons in your own home, I am looking to get a keyboard soon. I am excited to meet you and your child and introduce new topics and skills to them.
