I received my preschool teacher certification and began working at the Goddard School right after high school. My responsibilities included creating a detailed weekly curriculum including language arts, cognitive development, music and movement, social and self-help skills, science exploration, etc. But at the end of the day, the best part was making the kids giggle and just knowing they were genuinely happy to be at school! I left the day care setting to pursue a career as a nanny. I wanted to work more closely with a family rather than watching my little friends move on to the next classroom every few months. Depending upon the family's needs, I have also helped with doctor's appointments, meal preparation, etc. I also am happy to help with day-to-day chores like laundry and grocery shopping. At the end of the day, I know the parents want to come home and enjoy time with their children, and sometimes an empty dishwasher and folded towels help make life a little easier!

My husband likes to refer to Ashley as Mary Poppins as she's an absolute doll when it comes to children. We have two young energetic toddler boys that Ashley watched for a few months before she (sadly) had to move back to the east coast. We were devastated to lose her and my boys still ask about her. She will treat your children like her own. Her previous Montessori background showed true when she introduced different sensory activities that I never would have thought of. She makes cute snacks and cleans up after. From a mom standpoint, I felt 100% comfortable. She is the one and only person besides close friends and family I have ever left my children alone with. Kids aside, she's a lovely person with a dry quick wit that is refreshing in moments of mom chaos. I would recommend her 10x over and then some!
