About Ashley

Hello! My name is Ashley and I am going to be an upcoming Junior at Pepperdine University. I have spent almost all of my high school career taking care of kids. My jobs specifically working with children included, being a teacher assistant at my church working with age groups between 4-8 years old and taking care of my family friends children over the summers. My freshman year of college I was blessed to be able to work for a non-profit organization called ICAN. This company woks with people who have disabilities in all areas of the spectrum. I am deeply grateful for this experience, as I learned so much more on how to empower people with disabilities and help them achieve their goals in life. Through the distinctive and detailed training requirements I experienced with this company, I feel that I have obtained a greater understanding of how to care for others and maneuver around difficult situations.
