English/Reading and Math Tutoring With over 20 years of experience in education, I have written a phonics workbook program that aids me in setting a solid foundation for reading. I guide students through the program, enabling them with the ability to complete it independently while self-teaching themselves the sounds needed to decode new words. I also use read aloud to help build fluency and interest in reading. Through basic math facts and drills, I build a solid foundation in mathematic concepts. We focus on the fundamentals so that students can gain a better understanding of the basics in order to reach higher level math. These include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division math fact drills, decimal and fraction review, variable understanding, and how to solve basic and intermediate equations and expressions.
