About Ashley

I believe every child is a unique learner and I love supporting their personal and academic growth. I taught middle and elementary school for 8 years and I have a masters in education with a focus on differentiation. I especially love the kids who don't quite fit in the box. Before teaching in 2007, I worked as a summer camp counselor and afterschool care provider in Los Gatos and in San Luis Obispo where I attended college. I'm a former Teach for America teacher and my credential allows me to teach any subject kindergarten through 8th grade Algebra but I would feel confident teaching other levels. Since I live in Los Gatos and care for my two elderly parents, I would especially like a job that is close by. I enjoy working with any kind of learner and especially children and families who need extra help and could use a specialist's touch. I am a monotype printmaker and I work in my studio with my father. I also love traveling, reading, cooking, and playing the piano.
