About Ashley

Hi, my name is Ashley! I pursued my Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University at Buffalo, graduating in 2019. I have worked at the YMCA, being a camp counselor, having experience in teaching the preschool class, and working in the after school program. Being a nanny and homeschool tutor I created lesson plans and assisted elementary aged children during virtual school. With my experience as behavioral specialist, I gained knowledge in Autism, trauma informed care, and various mindfulness activities. I loved to implement art and music into my sessions every day! I'm pursuing my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, beginning my education with an online program in May. My future goal is to focus on trauma informed care, and use play therapy to work with kids of all ages! I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and responsible. I've worked with children with Autism, helping them with communication differences, coping skills, and hygiene.
