I have worked as an EMT in the past and a lot of the calls are to elderly patients. I have assisted them with getting off the floor from a ground level fall back to their beds or walkers. I am trained in administering oxygen and tank maintenance. As an EMT I am State and Nationally certified to assist patients with prescribed and over the counter medications. The EMT scope also included basic life support such as, but not limited to, CPR, bleeding control and bandaging, and assessing vital signs. I come with my own manual equipment and know when the right time is to call for further support.
