I have been housekeeping from a very young age, essentially as soon as I could read/listen to and follow instructions. In my childhood home I was taught how to assist with chores both inside the house and out. Mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, watering plants, cleaning bathrooms, washing walls/windows/baseboards, dusting, doing laundry, dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping were regular chores around the house. We also had rabbits for some time- it was very important to their health that we kept their hutches clean, and provided them with heat in the winter and ice in the summer. I believe that taking care of these animals cultivated my strong love for pets. I have also spent countless hours helping my grandparents- including harvesting corn, decluttering and organization, indoor/outdoor painting projects, post-flood cleanup, and estate sale prep.
