I have babysat on and off since I was in high school. In college I worked with a family who had a 6 month year old and a 2-year-old. After college when I lived in NYC, I watched five children from the ages of 8 through 15. I am comfortable changing diapers, feeding, etc. Although this is a part time job, I do very much love kids and find it rewarding/ fun to watch them. I try to engage children and think the best case scenario is one where an activity is planned. For girls maybe that's arts and crafts and for boys maybe that is video games or getting outside. I think my job is to be their friend and keep them safe while you're away. I will be forthcoming in saying that I am looking to babysit as a means to have a little extra spending money while I save to buy a condo. During the week I work full time in banking and in my spare time I like to walk my dog, swim, try new restaurants, bike, and read. I'd say I am a calm and patient person and a strong communicator.
