I have worked for the past two years at a camp for kids and adults with disabilities in Monticello, IA! Camp Courageous became a place where I found my love and passion for teaching, mentoring, assisting, and caring for individuals with disabilities. There I worked with any and almost all diagnoses, such as Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Physical Disability, Behavioral Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Alzheimer's, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder. Because of this experience, I know that I have the capabilities and qualifications to care for individuals with disabilities in almost all contexts. I approach care with a person-first perspective, always putting the safety, well being, and care of the client, person, first.
