About Ashleigh

I have been a high profile nanny in Manhattan for the past 15 years. I have recently moved to Austin and I am looking for a full time nanny position. Before becoming a nanny, I was a preschool teacher and director of a preschool with 125 children. I have worked in orphanages in Morocco, Latvia, and Russia. I was the lead caregiver in a crisis children's home and worked closely with the police and foster care system. I love children. Depending upon the ages of the children in my care, I schedule the day so that there is plenty of time for reading, music, outside play, imaginary play and art. If the children are older, I take them to and from school and any sports or classes they may have. I love history and reading and have a love of learning. I have taught children to read using the phonics system and have experience with homeschooling. I have a 2-year-old daughter, who I adopted from China. I am looking for a position that will allow me to bring her along. She is sweet, loving, compassionate, funny, and very smart!
