About Ashlee

I am currently a Life Skills Special Education Teacher, & am in my 4th year as a special education teacher in training. I am interested in caregiving full time in a means to set my own schedule so that I can finish coursework for my teacher program. In this career I provide my students with the tools and security that they need to thrive in my classroom. This population requires patience, endurance and a real passion for it. I also have a background in mental health and the retail industry. With mental health, I have worked with homeless adults, and acute adults that struggle with mental health along with youth and adolescence. I provided techniques and guidance on developing coping skills and functional skills to both age groups. In retail, I worked as a customer service representative with various companies providing customers with support with anything they needed. I know that my life's purpose is in the helping field. I love children and am excited for this new endeavor.
