I have worked as a CNA and Home Health Aide since 2009. I assist clients in their home with their basic needs: bathing, dressing, meal prep, medication reminders/supervision(crush pills if necessary)and thicken liquids, light housekeeping. I have worked with the elderly with Alzheimer/Dementia, Parkinson Disease, strokes. Also clients recovering from an accident, injuries, and surgeries, hospice, and respite. I help with the clients O. T. and P. T. exercises in the home. I apply non-sterile dressings, ice packs, and heat(when needed, elevate legs, and oxygen. I empty and clean catheter bags, and change night and day catheter bags when needed. I lived in Maine since 1989 and hold a current Maine Certified Nursing Assistant License. I have references from former clients and will share upon request. I moved back to Melrose August 2017 to help take care of my mom. I also hold a current MA. Certified Nursing Assistant License. I have good work ethics, hard working, compassionate.

I’ve met Arlene and her mom, Nina, about six or seven years ago at the Milano senior center where they held Tuesday night free dinners for anyone who lived in the city of Melrose. I always came alone, so I was always looking for a seat for one. Most of the people who came were couples, or they were all friends, and they would grab a table together. I always introduce myself when I sat at a new table, and I found out that Arlene and Nina lived not too far from the senior center. As Arlene and I chitchatted at dinner we became instant friends. Then I told Arlene about the Milano center that had lunch for seniors, and I had invited her and her mom to sit with me at the table for lunch. Arlene’s mom had Dementia.I noticed how Arlene was so loving, patient, and caring with her mom. We just both hit it off instantly, both of us had a sense of humor and that’s how our friendship started. The three of us just enjoyed being together. We kept in touch during Covid. We did zoom videos together. Arlene and her mom are just as sweet as can be. Arlene and I enjoyed laughing mostly. I knew Arlene liked hiking and I know that she spent weekends with her friends in Maine, she loves the outdoors, and walking dogs. She enjoyed cooking with her mom and took her mom different places. I knew her CNA private clients were from Melrose and she enjoyed them very much. Arlene has a very outgoing personality, and enjoys new conversations , and will speak to almost anyone ,just like I do. Something about myself ,I have been retired for 16 years and so I spend most of my time volunteering at three senior centers as a librarian, and in the community of Melrose. I read a lot and run a bocce outdoor group. Personal Friend and future client, Joan
