About Arlene

I took care of my mom for eight years after her stroke, and my dad (who had dementia), for four years until his passing just shy of his 100th birthday in 2022. My mission for both of them was for them to have fun every day of their lives, stay hydrated and engaged. I also worked as a Nurses Aid in a hospital in Sweden for one year, and then for one and a half years, worked in the Swedish Hem Varden, which supplies care to seniors in their homes. Care provided, dependent on need; anything from bathing and dressing, shopping, walks, meal prep, house cleaning, companionship, etc.. My skills include helping to motivate, being proactive, great problem solving skills and an ability to notice changes in someone's health or mental well being quickly. I'm very reliable and have excellent computer skills and organizational skills. I'm also knowledgeable in preventive natural care and healthy food cooking.
