About Ariel

I relocated from NYC to LA last October. I attended Indiana University (Bloomington); Major in Communication/Culture & Minor in Music. I'm currently taking classes to pursue a degree in Childhood Education. While doing so, I also want to have a job in childcare. I'm enthusiastic about working in the field & being able to foster an environment with experiences that will enrich day to day lives. My education, experience, skill-set & moreover, passion, make me who you've been looking for. WORK EXPERIENCE: #1. Scribble Art Workshop-A renowned program with notability for implementing teaching methods from a unique philosophy, mission & movement in art education... The children within this program are not "just" students, but artists. There is a focus on unleashing their inner artist, especially during the most pivotal stages of development. I was an assistant teacher in a toddler & elementary classes in flat art, costume design, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc. I also helped with the art exhibits where the kids masterpieces were showcased in venues throughout NYC. The money raised from these sales financed lower income students to enroll in the program. Essentially, the kids used their art to "sponsor a scribble." This enriching experience gave my little artists a remarkable sense of accomplishment. #2. Kings Bay Y-As an after-school art teacher I planned, designed & implemented an art program while coordinating a curriculum. I also managed the space; transportation, activity preparation, homework & energizers. I provided a safe & healthy environment while offering guidance with the development of their mind, body & soul. The most rewarding part of this was forming special relationships with my kids. #3. Pierce Country Day Camp-As a counselor for 2 summers for boys age group 3-4, I maintained a high level of supervision. As a group leader, I was enthusiastic, caring & supportive. I served as a strong positive influence in the lives of these kids. #4. Babysitting-I babysat for 3 kids for 4 years. With 3 different age groups came different interests that I learned to be attentive to while doing activities that everyone would enjoy.
