I've been tutoring various topics on and off for the last few years, and while I enjoy tutoring all kinds of topics, I do like to focus on English as a second language. I'm currently a junior at SFSU in English linguistics and am taking some Master's courses in teaching English to second language learners in order to eventually obtain an certification of undergraduate studies in TESOL. I've recently tutored a pair of children from Korea in English and math and had a great experience. Although I don't speak Korean, we all found that that wasn't necessary to be productive in our sessions together. I'm also planning on being an assistant language teacher at the city college for ESL classes this semester!
