About Ariana

During my time at BOCES Orange County, I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the world of animal care, specifically focusing on a variety of fascinating creatures like dogs, chinchillas, and ferrets. Each day brought new challenges and learning experiences that deepened my understanding of these animals and their unique needs. I remember the first time I interacted with a chinchilla; its soft fur and curious nature captivated me instantly. I learned the importance of proper handling techniques to ensure their comfort and well-being. Ferrets, with their playful antics, taught me about the significance of creating a stimulating environment for pets. Overall, my experience at BOCES not only expanded my knowledge of animal care but also ignited a passion within me to pursue a career in veterinary science. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for a year which allowed me to observe symptoms and prioritize the animal's comfort and safety.
