Living with a disability myself, I have come to appreciate others differences and uniqueness. I have always wanted to work with people who have a disability because I understand their life from a personal point of view. It is also important to note that with the right supports, accommodations and services, each individual is able to be successful in their own ways. I have worked with kids from ages 5 to 18 years old with all different disabilities. I am also aware of many diagnoses. Diagnosis from kids on the spectrum, to kids who struggle with depression, ADHD, Disruptive Mood Regulation and the list goes on. I have also worked with individuals who live with Spina Bifida some more mobile than others. In my spectrum of work, I have enjoyed each youth/or adult that I have crossed paths with. It was never easy work, but it was work in which I enjoyed and would do all over again.
