About April

As a teenager, education became a very rewarding place for me to excel and find meaning. This led me to attending UW-La Crosse to pursue a bachelor's degree in English Education. During my time at UWL, I was a writing tutor both at UWL and WTC. After graduating, I've worked for the past 6 years as an English teacher. I find so much joy in helping others find that access to their own learning - something I've had the privilege of doing in the middle school, high school, and collegiate setting. I have experience teaching AP Language courses and engaging students in test prep, including strategies for finding success on multiple choice timed exams. I've worked with students with a wide array of reading comprehension and written skills. I look forward to helping your child find their own access to their learning.
