My name is April. I went to school at San Jose State University where I graduated with a BFA in Dance. I started babysitting at 21, which led to nannying. I have led summer camps for the YMCA where I was responsible for 20-30 campers at a time. I have cared for infants, toddlers, and children of all ages. I build authentic relationships with children. I like to lead by example with children because they are the greatest imitators by nature. I always engage with kids by listening to what they have to say and responding wisely. The most important thing for me with children is safety. I value safety more than anything. I can say that after working with the Y, and learning their protocol with child safety, I am so much more knowledgeable and comfortable about what to do in all types of scenarios regarding child safety. I am up to date on first aid and CPR. I am available to tutor, cook, and drive.
