I came to America back in January 2012 to work with a family and their gorgeous little boy as an Au Pair. I lived with them for 2 years, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Part of my responsibilities included: *Making healthy meals *Cleaning up (Eventually taught him how to help with the cleaning) *Go to the library, read books, check a few out to bring home *Go to the playground and play in the sandbox, bring a ball and play soccer or catch *Organize play dates *Diaper changing *Arts and crafts (My favorite :)) *Bathing *Museum field trips *Pool trips in the summer *Taking him and picking him up from school (when he turned 2) I also helped my family to take care of my brother when he was born. So I've had experience with babies for a very long time, which gave me the encouragement to become an Au Pair. Recently I went back to babysitting and made me realize how much I miss it and enjoy working with babies.
