As long as I can remember, I've had a deep affection for the elderly. Growing up in a church environment, I learned the importance of deference and respecting my elders. I've always felt compelled to lend a hand to those who need assistance. My journey in caregiving began about 20 years ago when I spent countless hours in hospice with my uncle. At the time, I aspired to become a mortician, and the staff graciously let me assist with hospice care. I even had the opportunity to bathe my uncle from the waist up. Professionally, I've worked with two agencies providing home health care and supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. I'm patient, kind, and my love language is acts of service, so caregiving comes naturally to me.
