Hello! My name is April. Thank you for taking the time to check out my bio. I grew up in a home where my mother babysat 6 children in diapers. At the age of 12, I started to assist her with taking care of the children. I now provide child care out of my home in Short Pump. My family and I consist of myself, my husband, and our three children: aged 13, 11, and almost 4. I live in a pet free and smoke free environment where I have provided childcare to infants and toddlers for over 13 years.

I met April when searching for an in-home nanny/daycare for my twin boys. We loved April and chose her for our childcare needs, but did not end up using her because two daycare spots became available at our church, which is a more convenient location for us. April is a caring and friendly young woman, whose own children are very sweet and well behaved. Her references all had wonderful things to say about her, which were reaffirmed when we met her in person. She is very proactive in solving problems, clear in communication, eager to help, and well organized overall. I know she will be a great caregiver to a lucky family and I'm sorry she didn't work out for us! We would have loved working with her!
