A little about me. I was born and raised in Skagit County, I am a member of a Protestant Reformed church, grew up in the country with my 8 siblings, our dog and many cats near my grandpa's dairy farm. I love music and arts and crafts, going for hikes and walks whenever possible, listening to books and theology podcasts, spending time with my family, friends, and church family. I have been a nanny for over 10 years, caring for children ranging from infant up to 12 years old. Childcare is such a fulfilling line of work, getting to experience the milestones with each child and seeing their awe at discovering new things and the beauty of God's creation. Some examples of my duties at my most recent position are: school drop-off and pick-up, preparing meals, teaching preschool, going for walks, hikes and outdoor adventures, doing different age appropriate projects to help develop on skills being learned or developed. April is a fantastic babysitter! We used her several times a week for about 3 months as a nanny to care for our 6 month old and 2 1/2 year old girls, and then off and on as needed since then. April comes from a large family, so she has a lot of experience with kids. She has a very calm way about her and my children really like her. April was willing to do household chores like dishes and laundry, and she kept the house tidy during the day as well. She was also willing to carry or hold my baby for her naps, which was much appreciated, as that was the only way she would sleep. Finally, April is extremely reliable and showed up every day on time if not early. She is a very responsible, trustworthy person, and I recommend her highly!
