About Apoorva

I'm a 4th year senior at CSUB. I'm majoring in Biology and hope to work in the medical field or setting in the future. I have worked various jobs starting from being a server and cashier. Those jobs taught me how to respect and serve others. It also gave me lot of customer service experience. I also worked as a server in a senior community center. I worked with seniors and grew to respect them. I loved hearing their life stories and bonded with them by playing games or spending time with them outside of my work schedule. That is when I realized that from all my jobs, being around seniors was enjoyable. In addition, I worked as a caregiver a disabled person. I was responsible for feeding, bathing, grooming, cooking meals and transporting to and from doctor appointments. I was also there as a companion and did activities together. I realized that even though this is a job and it paid my bills, it doesn't beat the emotional connection I have formed with my clients. I'm now a college student looking for a job that I will enjoy and being a caregiver is that job.
