About Ann

Hi! I am Ann, an animal lover and former animal shelter volunteer (in Radford, VA). I am a proud cat mom and work best with cats, but have some brief experience with dogs and birds. (When I lived in Radford, I used to love to visit the local jewelry store to visit "Bob" the parrot. He used to climb on my arm and up to my shoulder and would let me rub his beak. His owner used to joke that I was "Bob's best friend," because "Bob" would bounce and get excited when I came into the store.) If I could, I'd have at least one dog and a parrot (a green one like "Bob," if possible!) in addition to my current cat. When I lived in Radford, I volunteered regularly at the local animal shelter. Having no family living nearby, the shelter became my home away from home. I don't know how I would survived without it and the animal control officer who managed it.
