About Annika
Experience: 10 yrs
I have a diverse background and portfolio after over 10 years in the care industry. This includes caring for children ages newborn to around 16 years old. I have three years experience working in a licensed gym daycare, which could have had anywhere from 1-25 kids there on a given night. I also spent two years as a lifeguard supervising children. As I completed my undergraduate degree, I worked at the Bloomington Montessori School as a substitute preschool teacher and also as a child care provider during board meetings and parent-teacher conferences. I am most passionate about education and community building. Childcare has always been very rewarding and fun for me and I love getting to know new families and kids. I really enjoy spending time outdoors (hiking, rock climbing, gardening, swimming, playing Frisbee, etc.), doing arts and crafts, reading, and exploring new places.

Annika was such a delight! We have 4 children under 7 years old, which can admittedly be a lot to manage for some, but not for Annika. She showed up early, and had already asked a set of questions via text about the kids to get to know them before her arrival. Genius! We also have 3 dogs and a cat, and she ensured they were taken care of and comfy all night, too. The kids were all asleep when we got home and raved the next morning about how much fun they had with her, playing games, having a dance party, and eating pizza. The kids have been asking to have her over again for WEEKS! She's a gem, highly recommended.
