My experience caring for children spans my whole life. I am part of a large family (four brothers and two sisters). When I was young, in my pre-teen years I had a school in our families basement for several neighborhood children. I am a mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. I served as a licensed daycare provider for over 4 years when my children were younger. In addition, I was a Title I assistant in the Howard County public schools working with students in K-5. I spend time with and care for my grandchildren frequently. In the past five years I completed a short period of time as a volunteer in a Montgomery County public elementary school. This was an enjoyable experience. I enjoy spending time with children, listening to them, learning from them and hoping I contribute to their growth.
