I've always gravitated towards the Elderly. I used to Volunteer in HS, in the Geriatric ward. I worked a Union job in Healthcare for almost 15 yrs, mostly under a microscope, but still felt I was helping and making a difference. My hours were demanding and required, and I decided to go back to Private Home Care. I also took care of my Mom, during her many years on Dialysis, in Clinic and Peritoneal at Home, until her passing. I'm very caring, compassionate, empathetic, and consider all my "elderly patients", my Friend. They quickly become part of my Family. Also my Husband has gone through Rectal Cancer and I'm familiar with Ostomy care. I used to administer my Mom's Insulin, so needles aren't a problem either. I currently have a pretty flexible schedule, my 2 adult children live on their own, and I have dependable transportation. I love all animals and Pets, and they seem to all love me.
