About Anna

I moved to Washington from my home state of Tennessee to study Russian about 4-years ago. Growing up in a farming community, I'm comfortable around most animals. Always ready for an adventure, but I'm a bookworm at heart and I would love to imprint an appreciation of reading on the next generation. Most recently I worked with an amazing family in Ridgefield where I took care of their now 18-month-old son. After adding a beautiful little girl to their family, mom made the decision to stay home. Since moving to Washington, I've worked with two families. Prior to moving, I took care of an 18-month-old girl, who has a special place in my heart, and later a 7-year-old boy in Tennessee with autism; whom I still keep in touch with. Some responsibilities have included weekly swim instruction, school work tutoring, applying boundaries, and organizing field trips. I always wanted a younger sibling, so it's rewarding to have the opportunity to mentor other children.
