Hello! I've been a ER nurse for the last five years, but now I'm looking to step back and do something a bit more mellow, centering on individual patient care and wellness. Over the last 10 years in healthcare, I've had experience with everyone from fresh newborns, to children with special needs, to elderly adults and all the diagnoses that come with them. I am a big proponent of the Montessori approach to dementia care, emphasizing person-centered care, dignity, independence, meaningful activities, and focusing on an individual's strengths. I believe that most individuals can thrive at home when provided with the right resources. Valid California and multistate nursing license. Extensive nursing certifications including adult and pediatric CPR and life support, mental health crisis intervention, trauma nursing, and LA fire safety As an added bonus, this Midwest farm girl is experienced with gardening, livestock handling, pets, horses, and any grubby task you throw her way!
