I finished a two-year dual licensure program from Portland State University in June 2021. I have licenses in both general and special education along with a master's in special education. I have a great passion for teaching and finding ways to support my students so that they can be successful. I am well versed in developing, modifying, and adapting lessons and learning strategies to support students' individualized needs. I am hard working and committed to providing my students with what they need to support their learning both behaviorally and academically. Prior to returning to get my master's degree I worked as a Paraeducator in Portland Public Schools for four years. I supported students with IEPs in accessing the general education curriculum with modified and adapted materials and learning activities. In the last year, during distance learning, I worked as a private support worker (PSW) for a child with an intellectual disability.
