My undergraduate degree is in communication sciences and disorders. I am now attending graduate school at university for rehabilitation counseling. I gained a lot of experience in my undergraduate schooling with various special needs. Often times individuals who receive speech therapy may have another need on top of speech. I also volunteered a lot at a day program with individuals who have various needs and disabilities. I also have been a caregiver of an individual who has a learning disability and other needs. My niece was born with a heart defect and 22q syndrome as well.
